The China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and the National Bureau of Statistics Service Industry Survey Center announced China's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for June of this year on June 30th. Among these, the Manufacturing PMI was 49.5%, remaining flat from the previous month. Economic operations were stable overall, and the vitality of micro-entities improved.
Looking at the individual indexes, the production side achieved growth amidst stability. The production index for June was 50.6%, remaining in the expansionary phase, and China's manufacturing production activities maintained a trend of growth amidst stability. After manufacturing raw material prices surged for two consecutive months, the growth of manufacturing raw materials significantly slowed down in June. The raw material purchase price index for June fell by 5.2 points from the previous month to 51.7%, a significant decrease. According to the results of a business survey, in June, the percentage of manufacturing companies that responded "raw material costs soared" decreased by 1.2 percentage points from the previous month to 43.7%.
