On the 7th of this month, from Xianju County, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, Xianju bayberries, totaling approximately 150 kg in 10 boxes, were exported to Singapore by a dedicated aircraft equipped for cold chain transport. This marked the first time bayberries were exported from Taizhou City this year.

On the same day, at an agricultural development company in Xianju County, workers used a newly introduced sorting line, capable of automatically measuring sugar content and weight without damage, to pick freshly harvested bayberries based on sugar content and weight, then box and package them. The bayberries exported this time came in cases of 15 pieces, with each piece weighing 20-30 grams. The price per piece is approximately 25 yuan (about 500 yen, 1 yuan is about 20.2 yen).

According to Ms. Zhao Jiaojiao, the relevant person in charge at the company, orders have been received to export a total of approximately 5 tons of bayberries in six batches, mainly to France, Canada, and Indonesia.

According to data, Xianju County, known as the 'Home of Chinese Bayberries,' has a bayberry cultivation area of 9,800 hectares in 2024, with a production area of 9,200 hectares. The production volume is 121,000 tons, and the production value is 1.23 billion yuan. The total industrial chain production value has reached 4.5 billion yuan. (Editor: KN)
